Welcome To The Layer Cake
Ace. Absolute quality. Maybe the best British gangster flick yet. Star turn for Daniel Craig, who should be the next Bond, he’s an English Steve McQueen. It was for the better that Guy Ritchie couldn’t direct and Matthew Vaughn took over, the pacing was right on the money. My only complaint is that the lovely Sienna Miller was underused, but she would have been a distraction from the plot, phenomenally fit bird that she is notwithstanding. Michael Gambon is the man, as well. Wicked, killer soundtrack. And though the ending was slightly cheesy, I dug it. Fucking hell I miss London.
