Miscellaneous Ramblings
Yet another installment. Here goes:
- Campus MovieFest is complete for yet another year. The top films were pretty good, and the Tech CMF Nite went off mostly without a hitch. Although the weather was terrible, we pretty much filled the Ferst Center, entertained everyone, and my shoulders and the tip of my collar made it onto the front page picture of that week’s Technique. Come on, is Shaili that much prettier than I am? Wait, don’t answer that. You can check out all the movies HERE.
- A few weeks back I was considering dropping Setanta Sports on my DirecTV package, but now that Super 14 and Six Nations rugby are back, I’m very glad I didn’t. Yes I have no life.
- Can anyone explain to me why in the last few months a ton of traffic has appeared on Northside Drive every afternoon from 4 to 7 pm? Did the folks at Coke suddenly realize there was an alternate route to get to I-75 that they didn’t know about all these years? What the hell changed as of October 2005? We’re completely stumped. Rush hour tripling my commute, dammit – now it’s almost 9 minutes sometimes!
- The Georgia Tech men’s basketball season is mercifully coming to an end soon, and it hasn’t been pretty. They ain’t making the tournament this year, but y’all better watch out with the recruits Coach Paul Hewitt has got coming to the Flats. I’ll be shocked if they don’t make the Final Four at least once in the next three seasons. You heard it here first.
- Played a bit of Fight Night Round 3 on Indy’s Finest’s Xbox 360 the other day, and it’s infriggincredible. If I were to get myself an Xbox 360, I would get absolutely nothing done. Yes I have no life.
- Lastly, if you’re not already watching The Boondocks, you need to start. You should also read the original comic strip. "This ain’t Beat Street!"
